Sherko Hasaka: Our forces to liberate Hajin town

The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Sherko Hasaka said that their forces during the coming days will begin the process of liberating Hajin town, the last stronghold of IS east of the Euphrates River. Sherko Hasaka confirmed that special teams to save civilians and demining teams of SDF are working to open safe roads to save the civilians and clean them of mines.

In a statement to Hawar news agency, the commander of SDF Sherko Hasaka said that SDF will begin Hajin town’s liberation campaign that is the last stronghold of IS and is located east of the Euphrates River within the few days after it has been besieged.

Sherko said that the special teams for rescuing the civilians are currently working to open safe corridors to rescue the trapped civilians in the town, noting that this is happening in conjunction with the opening of safe corridors as the engineering teams are working to dismantle the mines planted by IS mercenaries.

SDF encircled Hajin town east of the Euphrates River that is under the control of IS mercenaries during the liberation campaign of Baghuz strategic village within the framework of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Democratic Forces had issued a written statement on 8 August that revealed the outcome of the al-Deshisha liberation campaign which located in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah city.
