Repeated appeals are in vain

He has been paralyzed by the neglect of the organizations that claim to be human, but the reality has proved otherwise. He has repeatedly appealed to them, but that was no avail as if it was no use, and he is trying his last attempt to appeal, hoping that this time his voice will echo and revive the dead human conscience.

Ahmad Hamo who is 39 years old, married and has three children lives in a small house in the western section of al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood. He has been paralyzed as a result of the organizations’ negligence of his state and to provide him with the medical treatment. This story is one of thousands tragic stories that the Syrian people suffer from as a result of the battle which is still going on and left behind nothing but destruction and tragedy everywhere.

Ahmad wanted through ANHA agency to make the international public opinion hears the voice of suffering, perhaps his voice would bring an outcome as he does not only represent himself, but represents thousands of cases like him.

Ahmed Hamo said that when the Syrian revolution began in Aleppo in late 2012, he was shot by a sniper in the spine at al-Jendowl Square while he was returning from work as he has become paraplegic.

Ahmad's suffering has been going on for 6 years, and he has not received any help from anyone despite his frequent going to all the associations and organizations existed in Aleppo that claim to be humanitarian and help the wounded of the battle, Ahmad said.

Ahmad Hamo added, “My financial situation is so bad. In the past, I was an employer in al-Kindi Hospital, but after my injury, I have not had any work. I have become paralyzed and my daily life was deteriorating day by day. With the help of some of my relatives and despite my injuries, I managed to open a small food store so that my family and I could live and secure our daily livelihood.”

"My children have not been able to go to the school to complete their education, they have been deprived of their most basic rights which is to live their childhood and pursue their education. They are working to secure medicines for me because their prices are very high. To live like others, we reduce our daily expenses as much as possible and bring nothing but basic daily necessities," Hamo said.

Ahmad Hamo appealed through ANHA agency to all the humanitarian organizations and charity associations to consider his statue, support his family and provide him with assistance so that he would be able to complete his treatment and secure a chair for himself to be able to move, and his children would be able to complete their studies saying, "Organizations, enough for silence, do you like what are the Syrian people being exposed to? Has not come the time to help us and do your duty towards us?"
