“Dialogue Is Only Way to Democratic, Unified, Decentralized Syria”

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence. Then, the administrator in TEV-DEM Media Mohammed talked about the latest political developments on the Syrian arena.

Media Ali said, “In this stage, the responsibility is great and it is up to us all, and each stage has its specialties because the challenges are great as we suffer from a lot of battles in the area.”

Media Mohammed continued, “Today, there is a political, social, cultural and organizational revolution in Syria, and we have a successful political project. We also have the solutions for the Syrian crisis that has been complicated by some parties to undermine the peoples’ gains and to achieve their interests.”

Media Mohammed added, “To learn how to develop our policy, we must understand the reality well. In the Middle East, there is no development because the systems are still liability related to capitalist modernity. In this stage, we find the intervention of capitalist modernity in the Middle East area whose policy is to deepen and root crises, not to find solutions to them.

As for the meeting held with the Syrian regime, Media noted, “In the step that we have taken to dialogue with the regime, we relied on the organizational power of our society, and the propaganda about handing over the areas to the regime has been promoted to undermine the stability and security in our society.

During the meeting, Media Ali responded to the attendees' questions about the success rate of the dialogue with the regime, and she said, “The existing dialogue is a battle of political struggle. The internal and external regimes are negotiating for the sake of their own interests, but we need a stable, secure and democratic society. The dialogue is our rightful struggle with the center.”

Media Ali continued, “Therefore, we will show all attempts to deter the external attack from our areas by holding dialogues with this regime. This is our political, constitutional and legal formulations, and this is our current policy and strategy."
