Aisha Effendi: We proved ourselves militarily, to prove politically

Aisha Effendi's speech came during a meeting held on Thursday in the town of Bandar in Qenaia area​​ west of Kobanî canton within the series of the meetings held by the movement in coordination with the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) to explain the latest political and military developments in the area for the people and discuss with them.

Dozens of residents, members of Bandar Town Council and the co-chair of Kobanî Canton Council Mostafa Ito attended the meeting.

Aisha Effendi touched upon the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan and added, "The Turkish state is trying to undermine the will of the Kurdish people. The attacks that are targeting northern Syria and the revolution’s gains are for the same goals that Turkey fails to achieve in order to foil the democratic nation’s project.”

Aisha Effendi continued, “The Kurdish people did not wait for anyone to defend and protect them, but they organized themselves with all the peoples in northern Syria and proved that they resist for the sake of freedom and to thwart the schemes that aim at undermining their will.”

On the political situation in Syria, Aisha Effendi pointed out that the situation in Syria has turned into a new stage, and there has been a dialogue between the regime and the administration in North Syria to find a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis. She also stressed that the people in northern Syria will prove themselves politically and diplomatically to guarantee the peoples’ rights.

The co-chair of Kobanî Canton Council Mostafa Ito delivered a speech and said, ”The occupying countries of Kurdistan propagate many rumors and practice the special war through the media to create chaos among the peoples and break their hopes and will so the people must be aware of these schemes and know the seriousness of the democratic project that is applied in North Syria.”

Mostafa Ito pointed out, “The stage that we are going through with the Syrian regime now is not only a transitory stage, rather, it is a dialogue between the DAA and the Syrian regime to open the way for the negotiations to reach an appropriate solution to ensure our rights, preserve the martyrs’ gains and for our identity to be recognized of.”
