Tel-Hamis district 's people in al-Jazzera region where People 's Municipality does not move till now to remove the rubbish ,causing a lot of the problems like disease-carrying insects, especially leishmaniasis and the numbers had reached about 17,000 cases in the countryside and the district

Residents of the village and rural villages complain of the accumulation of waste in the streets, in addition to the absence of garbage containers in the middle of the streets, the residents of the area that the cleaners are not enough to remove large quantities of waste, especially the old ones, demanding the concerned parties to work to remove them quickly.

Abdul Rahman al-Hadi, the Co-chair People 's Municipality in the district explained that the waste accumulated over the past days, because of the absence of municipal machinaries for work, where it was supposed that the municipal organs permanently remove waste, especially from the main streets, but People's Municipality in Tel- Hamis suffers from lacks of machinaries and demanded of the municipalities in Qamishlo canton more than once to provide them with machinaries but so far we have not received any response.

He pointed out that the municipality rented a bulldozer and left the garbage in front of the Academy building and some public places. The town was not completely covered.
