Iraqi Intelligence thwarted plot targeted Samarra
Iraqi Military Intelligence carried out an operation that foiled a plot targeting Samarra, in which 5 suicide bombers were killed.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense revealed the implementation of the military intelligence of the pre-emptive operation led to thwart the plot targeting Samarra in northern Iraq and killing of 5 suicide bombers.
The Defense Ministry said in a statement "The Directorate of Military Intelligence foiled during a pre-emptive operation a criminal plot and killed 5 suicide bombers in Samarra Operations in conjunction with Samarra Operations Command," The head of the Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi parliament, Hakem al-Zamili has warned that IS mercenaries are planning to invade the northern city( Samarra) which includes a number of religious holy facilities.
