DCC 3rd periodic meeting for forming abilities project held

The meeting was held in the conferences hall in Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, and all the service committees and the international and local organizations working in northern Syria, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Riad Derar, the member of the Political Committee Hassen Ali Zûhat and the members of Deir ez-Zor Civil and Legislative Council attended the meeting.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, after which the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council the Dr. Gassan al-Youssef welcomed the attendees. Al-Youssef praised the democratic project in Deir ez-Zor.

Al-Youssef explained that the liberated geographical area has widened and the number of the liberated people increased, calling for the humanitarian organizations to support this matter because the area lacks the simplest elements of life.

For his part, the co-chair of the Committee of Humanitarian Organizations and Social Affairs and Labor Tariq al-Rashed said, "We must develop comprehensive future plans and build the positions of forces in these plans so that we can continue to work in the right and productive manner, especially in this area that is extended with extensive geographical areas on both sides of the Euphrates River."

Al-Rashed pointed to the extent of the damage and destruction in all service domains after the years of war and terrorism. He noted "All these require a serious and effective consideration of what is happening in reality and the cooperation with all concerned bodies and organizations."

And then, the discussion, suggestions and questions opened to the participants in the meeting which focused on the current situations and the requirements that must be worked on after the area would be settled.

At the end of the meeting, the reality of Deir ez-Zor was highlighted, and the needs, points of strength and weakness, and the mechanisms of communication and coordination with the working organizations were clarified.
