Zorava neighborhood 's people commemorate struggler Zilan

On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the martyrdom Zilan's struggler, Martyrs' Families Council in Zorava neighborhood of the Syrian capital Damascus held commemoration ceremony attended by dozens of residents and members of all civil society organizations.

The commemoration ceremony began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs.

During the meeting, several speeches were delivered on behalf of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) and the Martyrs' Families Council, in which they referred to the guerilla operation of the struggler Zilan. "On June 30, 1996, during the guerrilla operation, Zilan thwarted the plot by which the enemy tried to undermine the free life by targeting the People's Leader Kurdish Abdullah Ocelan."

The participants in the commemoration ceremony addressed the latest developments in Rojava and North Syria. They pointed to the struggle and resistance of the Afrin residents, their insistence on their land and the insistence on returning and liberating Afrin and resisting People Protection Units and Women Protection Units (YPJ, YPG) and their guerilla operations in Afrin against mercenaries and the Turkish occupation army.”

At the end of the meeting, the words emphasized on the necessity and importance of following the path of the martyrs and protecting the values ​​and achievements of the revolution, which have been achieved thanks to the sacrifices of martyrs such as Zilan.

The commemoration ceremony ended with chanting slogans that glorify martyrs.
