Politicians: Turkey has long historical hostility of indigenous peoples in region

The representatives of political parties in Tirbê Sipî district said that the first goal of the Turkish state from occupying North Syria is to strike the will and aspirations of the Syrian people in freedom, they pointed out that Turkey has a long history of tricks and conspiracies

A number of representatives of political parties in Tirbê Sipî district told Hawar news agency about the Turkish attacks against the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan.

Representative of the Democratic Union Party in Tirbê Sipî district Hussein Khalid said that Turkey used to find itself the strongest in the region, therefore, it imposes on the peoples of one nation and one language and the same knowledge because it does not carry any democratic thought.

Khalid noted that the occupation of Afrin by Turkey and its mercenaries was part of a Turkish policy to strike the democratic system that was founded in North Syria thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian people, and demographic change is aimed at multiplying peoples and thus discouraging them from demanding their basic rights.

"The occupation of Afrin by Turkey and its mercenaries, and what is spreading today in North Syria of sedition, murder, pillage, is nothing new to Turkey and its Ottoman policy," said Ghasan Nevo, a member of the General Administration Committee of the Modernity and Democracy Party in Syria.

Nevo recalled what the Ottomans had done in the region during four centuries of "spreading ignorance and backwardness through genocide against the Armenians and then the Yazidi in Şengal, and today they are practicing the same plans and politics in North Syria."

A member of the Syriac Union Party, Jeorj Yusuf, said that the Turkish state was historically hostile to the peoples of the region from Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, "Erdogan's Ottoman predecessors exterminated Armenians, Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syriacs in the past. It also displaced many Kurds in Başûr Kurdistan

Yusuf pointed out during his speech that displacement of the people and demographic change Afrin city was exposed to signifies "the return of the policy of the Ottomans, who does not differentiate between Kurds, Arabs or Syriacs, but try to impose its domination over the region.
