Latest statistics revealed Yazidi victims

The General Directorate of Yazidi Kurds’ Affairs in the Awqaf Ministry in the government of South Kurdistan published a statistics on the number of victims of the Yazidi Kurds who were killed at the hands of IS mercenaries since 3/8/2014 until today.

The Directorate said in a new report on Sunday that the number of the Yazidis in Iraq was about 550,000 people according to statistics approved by the United Nations (UN).

The following is the statistics of the General Directorate of the Yazidi Kurds’ Affairs in the Ministry of Awqaf in the government of South Kurdistan for the number of victims of the Yazidi Kurds that were killed by IS mercenaries,

- The number of people displaced by an IS invasion is 360,000 displaced people.

- The number of martyrs in the first days of the invasion is 1,293 martyrs.

- The number of orphans created by the invasion as follows:

The number of the orphans is,

-The number of the orphans of the father is 1,759.

-The number of the orphans of the mother is 407.

-The parental orphans’ number is 359.

- The number of the children whose parents are at the hands of IS is 220

- The total number of the orphans is 2,745

- The number of mass graves that have been discovered in Şengal so far is 68 mass graves, in addition to dozens of individual burial sites.

- The number of religious shrines that were destroyed by IS mercenaries is 68 shrines.

- The number of those who emigrated out the country is estimated at 100,000.

- The number of abductees is 6,417 among them 3,548 females and 2,869 males.

- The numbers of survivors from the grip of IS terrorists is as follows, the total number is 3,300 including 1,150 women, 337 men, 946 female children and 867male children.

- The number of whoever remained in the grip of IS mercenaries is 3,117; the females: 1,452 and the males: 1,665.
