German delegation: We to thwart Turkish-German policies that reached Afrin

The German delegation confirmed that they were aware that Germany had supported the Turkish authorities in their aggression against Afrin, and they made it clear that they would work to foil the German-Turkish policy that reached Afrin, explaining that the reason for their visit to Rojava is to be introduced to the fledgling experience of Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) and transfer it to Germany.

On Monday, a German delegation that included parliamentarians from the German Leftist Party and a number of the academics visited the headquarters of the Foreign Relations Body in Qamişlo city with the aim of supporting Rojava Revolution and considering the situation in Afrin city.

The delegation was received by the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Body in Qamişlo city Siham Qeryo, the head of the Women's Body Amina Omar, the DAA’s advisor Mezgin Ahmed, co-chairs’ vice of the Foreign Relations Body in al-Jazeera Fener al-Kait, and the co-chair of the Culture and Art Body Elias Sido.

The delegation thanked at the beginning the DAA's reception, and stressed that it has come to do everything possible to protect the DAA's fledgling experience in Rojava.

The German delegation assured, "We were aware that our country supported and is still supporting Turkey's aggression against Afrin, and we are sorry about that policy. We will work on thwarting the German-Turkish policy that reached Afrin."

The delegation is scheduled to visit Amuda district in Qamişlo canton, Kobanî canton and Manbij city in order to visit the institutions of the DAA, civil institutions and institutions related to women.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation army during its attack on Afrin city used German weapons and equipment, including tanks which provoked discontent and anger of many supporters and opponents of the German state.
