Al-Raqqa Youths developing their sporting talents

The Youth and Sport Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council organized a football league on the occasion of Ramadan with the participation of 10 teams from the popular neighborhoods aiming at developing the youth’s talents.

Under the slogan, "Together for a Better Sport", the Youth and Sports Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council organized a football league with the participation of 10 teams from the popular neighborhoods in the area.

The league will last for a full month, and a match will be organized every day, and all the matches will be played on al-Furat Stadium’s land south of al-Sa’a Square in al-Raqqa city.

The league that started on Saturday began with a match between Mazrat Hittin and al-Jazeera teams, and dozens of the residents of the city attended it.

Mazrat Hittin's team won against al-Jazeera team with the outcome of (5-1).

A member of the Youth and Sport Committee Ibrahim al-Najem said in an interview held with ANHA agency, "Our aim of organizing this league and the similar events and activities is to highlight the talents of the young people who could not be able to exercise them during IS mercenaries’ occupation of the area."
