Solemn ceremonies for Adel Morad in al-Suleimaniya

Adel Morad, the secretary of the Central Council and one of the founders of the Kurdistan Patriotic Union passed away last Friday in the result of conflicting with the disease in Germany.

Massive crowds gathered on Thursday to receive Adel Morad's corpse.

Morad's funeral ceremonies began from al-Suleimaniya Airport at 09:00 am with laying wreaths of flowers by the parties, personalities and diplomatic bodies. Then, speeches were delivered by the President Fuad Masum, and on behalf of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Patriotic Union and the family of the deceased.

The marching band performed, during the ceremony, the Iraqi national anthem and the Kurdish national anthem.

After that, the corpse of the deceased was taken to the cemetery of Salim Beyk as pray would be held for his soul, and he would be buried during solemn ceremonies.

The funeral ceremony would take place at 01:00 pm on Friday 25/5/2018 at Ahmed Haj Ali Mosque that is located In Sarjnar Hill area in the opposite of the Art Hall in al-Suleimaniya.
