She lost 3 of her children, still resisting in al-Shahba

The mother Khatoon Abdu’s case is as hundreds of mothers’ who lost their children, she lost three of her sons; two of them within the Syrian crisis, and one of them was martyred while he was repelling the attacks of the Baath regime and its militias on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The mother Khatoon whose age is 70 is a mother of 7 youths and 2 girls. She is from Qastel Jando in Shera district in Afrin canton.

The son Sabri Mohammed Hamo who is the third son and the father of 4 children among them psychotic youth and girl was working as an employee in Hannan Hospital in al-Ashrafiya neighborhood in Aleppo. When clashes erupted in the neighborhood, he was kidnapped by a mercenary gang headed by the mercenary Khaled Hayyani on May, 2015.

After a week passed on his kidnapping, a piece of news about the kill of Khaled Hayyani was heard, and the mother Khatoon said that they hoped to get information about their  kidnapped son, while they have not got any information about him till now and they do not know whether he is alive or died.

Her son Adnan Mohammed Hamo, the father of a female child, used to live in Aleppo, and at the beginning of the Syrian revolution that turned into a crisis later in 2011. He was on his way returning to Afrin to visit his family, and on the way, he was kidnapped by a mercenary gang related to Turkey on the pretext of being a member of the regime’s Shabbiha and that he is a blasphemer due to his being a Yazidi after they found in his pocket some holy stones of the Yazidis.

After a day of his kidnapping, the mercenaries published a video on the social media showing Adnan killed, and a mercenary saying in the video, “We will kill all the Yazidi blasphemers and al-Shabbiha.”

While Fakhry Mohammed Hamo who was the father of two children participated in the battles erupted in Sheikh Maqsoud in March 2012, as he was martyred after he resisted till the end.

The mother Khatoon talked to Hawar news agency and said that the Turkish occupation pretends to be Muslim, but its practices show the opposite. Whoever loots out possessions, lands and goods has no religion.

The mother Khatoon assured that she would continue resisting in al-Shahba till her returning to Afrin, hoping that she would return as soon as possible to her village Qastel Jando promising that she would sacrifice the expensive and the cheap for the sake of her land’s freedom.
