In Ramadan month... Ain Issa camp's kitchen reopened

Ain Issa camp, which was opened in June 2016 by al-Raqqa's Civil Council, includes 13 thousand displaced persons and refugees from various Syrian cities. The council, in coordination with the camp administration and some relief organizations opened a large kitchen in the camp to distribute food to the camp residents.

Because the international organizations did not meet their needs and did not provide assistance, the council was forced to close the kitchen eight months ago. Now in the holy Ramadan month, the camp administration has reopened the kitchen which will reduce the suffering of thousands of camp residents, and it will remain open until the end of Ramadan.

Opening an opportunity to work for displaced people

The kitchen now employs 30 displaced persons, and they receive monthly salaries as they work, the kitchen opened an opportunity to work for the displaced, workers every day prepare food from the stuff which they have receive.

Opening the kitchen spread joy and happiness among the displaced of the camp, where they ate fresh food on Iftar.

Camp administrator Jalal Aiyaf said that opening the kitchen was good news for the camp residents and appealed to all organizations to help and present assistance.
