Achieving projects to improve services in al-Karama

Representatives of the people's municipality in al-Karama and the co-chairs of the local councils, members of the Social Justice Bureau, the Internal Security Forces, the area's media center, the Women's House, the Martyrs’ Families Foundation and dozens of people attended the meeting which was held at the center of al-Karama Eastern Council.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, after which a member of the Syrian Democratic Council Aziz Hassen talked and touched upon the latest developments ongoing in the area and the close of the completion of IS mercenaries completely from the Syrian north after the Syrian Democratic Forces resumed al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The most important problems that were proposed by the attendees are about drinking water as the attendees agreed that the amount of the water provided is little, and agriculture was among the problems that the people suffer from as everyone said that agriculture was greatly affected by the lack of rainfall and water assuring on the peasants’ excesses on the irrigation channel.

For his part, Aziz Hassen said that drinking water pumps are currently operating by diesel engines, adding that after three days electricity will be connected, and the pumps will work on electricity, and the water will become available 24 hours.

Regarding agriculture, Hassen said that they are on a relationship with the Internal Security Forces, and that they would put observers on the irrigation channel to prevent the excesses that are happening, and they will violate any person who would exceed and send them to the court to be punished if necessary.

At the end of the meeting, everybody assured on the importance of continuing to hold such meetings to discuss the problems in order to develop the solutions
