Al-Raqqa's markets revive again after absence

Life in the streets of al-Raqqa is reviving day after day during the opening of shops "fabrics and clothing, foodstuffs, vegetable sale, housewares, electric appliances, ovens, druggist stores" to witness the markets' growth.

On 17 October 2017, Syrian Democratic Forces liberated the entire city of al-Raqqa city from IS mercenaries, and as a result of fighting, thousands of the inhabitants of the city had fled to other cities and camps.

Al-Raqqa's Civil Council is working 24 hours to serve the people in the city despite the limited possibilities available to come back to life gradually and its residents return to it, the number of families coming to the city has reached 140,000 families.

Markets are very crowded with the opening of stores such as "Fabrics and clothing, foodstuff, vegetable sale, housewares, electric appliances, ovens, druggist stores" as well as the movement of people and shopping.

A number of al-Raqqa's people spoke to ANHA agency "We opened our shops in the city after the removing of soil barracks by al-Raqqa's Civil Council which also opened the highways and side streets, today we are in al-Raqqa in a state of great prosperity after the return of the residents to their homes where the security is available here, and we appeal to all citizens abroad to return to their homes.
