Despite limited possibilities... Ain Issa Municipality strives to provide services

The People’s Municipality was established in Ain Issa in late April last year in conjunction with the return of the residents to the area after they were displaced for six years.

The municipality operates seven committees where 60 employees operate.

Since the beginning of its establishment, it has been working to provide the necessities of drinking water, electricity and bread. Three tanks have been used to transport potable water. Two of them have been designated for Ain Issa and a tank for the town of Hishah and reformed them according to the possibilities.

In order to facilitate the movement of the people in the streets of the area removed all the dirt barriers left behind by mercenaries before evading them, and the municipality works through 12 workers to clean the garbage and remove it from the aspect to make it aesthetic.

In order to activate the business, about 600 licenses were granted to all professions to provide the necessary needs of the population.

The municipal water committee repaired the Ain Issa water station, which connects the water to the area, which could not be operated due to network failures in the area.

We lack mechanisms

In this context, the joint head of the municipality of the people in Ain Issa Anwar al-Awaid said that the municipality is seeking to establish a popular market in the area that provides all foodstuffs in addition to feed materials for cattle and placed under the supervision of the Supply Committee.

Al-Owaid noted that the municipality lacks machineries, they have only one vehicle to transport garbage from the point of view, and rely on renting machineries to complete the work entrusted to them.

Al-Awaid appealed to the concerned parties to provide support to the municipality to carry out the projects entrusted to it.

Despite the small potential of the municipality in the area, the residents of the area are satisfied with the work of the municipality and its insurance for the necessary needs.

In this regard, the two citizens, Mohammed al-Ali and Homsi al-Nada, confirm that the municipality of Ain Issa was able to provide them with the basic requirements for living from drinking water, electricity and bread.
