SDF declare resuming al-Jazeera Tempest

Al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to liberate the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor have been paused after Turkish occupation and its gangs on the canton of Afrin, today, in a statement, Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) declared resuming the campaign to liberate the remaining areas in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor along the Turkish border.

The statement was read by the spokesperson of the al-Jazeera Tempest campaign Leilwa Abdullah and the commander in the Military Council of Deir ez-Zor Ahmad Abu Khoula.

The statement included:

 “Our forces in the Military Council of Deir ez-Zor which are part of the Syrian Democratic Forces are resolved to continue al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to eliminate Daesh instead of the Syrian people and the whole world, as Daesh is still maintaining vast existence near the Syrian-Iraqi border in an attempt to keep a safe haven for its plans to launch attacks in the world and extend its territories in Syria and Iraq.”

The attacks have intensified in the past weeks where the Islamic State’s organization sought to reorganize itself.

Accordingly, we declare that the remaining territories under IS will be liberated and cleared from its terrorists, we have rearranged our ranks according to the requirements of the battle, and announce it to our people, with the participation of the Global Coalition, the final stage of the campaign; al-Jazeera Tempest have been initiated, our brave forces will liberate these territories and secure the Syrian-Iraqi borders, and eliminate the Daesh existence in the Syrian east for once and ever, we welcome Iraqi forces’ support through the borders, in addition, our partners in the Global Coalition’s.

These operations will be carried out in order to establish a long-term project for building a democratic, new and void of terrorism Syria, which maintains its regional sovereignty, all Syrian components including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs and Turkmen comprised under the SDF participate in the political process in accordance to the Security Council’s Resolution 2,254.
