Syrian Women's Council congratulates women workers on their day

The Syrian Women's Council issued a written statement to the public opinion on the occasion of World Labor Day and a copy of it reached ANHA agency.

"On May 1 of each year, the working class in various countries of the world celebrates World Workers' Day, which represents an international event that demonstrates the solidarity of the working class in their struggle against exploitation for social justice.

This year's Workers Day comes at a time when the structural crisis of the global capitalist system is intensifying and aggravated, and the suffering of the working class and popular groups in the world is increasing.

At the level of Syria, this occasion comes as the war engulfs Syrian society and the political and social divisions intensify in addition to the complexities resulting from the overlap of the regional and international agendas.

Leading to the intensification of the working class suffering and people with limited income in addition to the resulting conflict in the ongoing increase in unemployment rates and the destruction of infrastructure and economic establishments and loss of many of their jobs.

This war has overshadowed Syrian women and increased their suffering, as they have become responsible for supporting themselves and supporting their families after they have lost their breadwinner and have become fully dependent on themselves.

There is no doubt that the participation of women in economic life is still in need of support and encouragement from all sides, Syrian woman, through her real participation in work, will open new horizons for women to get out of social pressure and participate in economic life in a serious and effective manner.
