With safety, stability... significant construction renaissance in Manbij

After the liberation of Manbij city in northern Syria from a IS mercenaries in 2016, security and stability were available there, the area is witnessing unprecedented urban movement throughout the city.

According to the municipality's technical office, they have granted 455 licenses for residential construction in 2017, the building permits allow building up to 4 floors with the apartment system as well as the villas.

The prosperity of the construction movement and its expansion in the last year are attributed to the security and stability of the city and their complete confidence in their military council in protecting them, in light of the recent Turkish threats to occupy the city, the residents do not attach importance to these threats and continue to rebuild their city, they are confident that Manbij Military Council is able to protect them.

The member of the technical office in the municipality of the people in Manbij Qasim Aboud, confirmed that the construction renaissance in the city continues and there is no impediment to granting licenses in the event of the conditions and required papers.

Since the beginning of this year, three permition for fuel stations have been submitted to the municipality, according to al-Aboud, these licenses are being considered.

Job opportunities are provided

This construction movement has created jobs for thousands of workers in the area, following a recession in the area in terms of employment opportunities during the occupation of IS mercenaries for the area.

In this context, the worker Hussein Mohammed, said that the workers in the construction field work more than before, and the work opportunities became more available in light of the revival of construction movement in the area unlike previous years.
