Education Body in al-Jazeera opens registration doors for Afrin students

After the launching of Turkish occupation attacks on 20 January on Afrin canton, and the destruction of infrastructure and vital installations, the people of Afrin canton were forced to go to al-Shahba canton to avoid massacres against them.

The attacks of Turkish occupation deprive more than 50,000 students in Afrin canton of learning right in the stages of "primary, preparatory and secondary, University of Afrin, middle schools."

The Co-chair of Education Body Mohamed Saleh Abdo has announced the opening of Rojava University in al-Jazeera region of registration for students of Afrin canton to continue their studies at the same college where they were studying.

Abdo said that Turkish occupation caused the deprivation of more than 50 thousand students in the schools, institutes and universities of Afrin to continue their studies, and he continued: "for the sake of Rojava University to the students of Afrin University to continue their studies, Rojava University accept all students enrolled at Afrin University at similar colleges within Rojava University or existing colleges where Afrin students want to complete their studies.

A special committee has been set up at Rojava University in Qamishlo city; the committee will welcome all the students wishing to complete their academic year at Rojava University.

The Co-chair of Education Body in al-Jazeera region, Mohammed Saleh Abdo, confirmed that registration will begin on Thursday, 19 April, and invited students of Afrin University to register at Rojava University to complete their academic year.
