Eurocontrol warns airlines of possible missile strikes against Syria

The European Air Safety Organization (Eurocontrol) has warned airlines with flights in the eastern Mediterranean to launch air and missile strikes on Syria within 72 hours, while America clashed with Russia on Security Council over the Syrian chemical investigation.

The European Air Safety Organization (Eurocontrol) has called on airlines to exercise caution in the eastern Mediterranean for possible air strikes in Syria within 72 hours.

"Due to the possibility of air strikes against Syria, air-to-surface missiles or cruise missiles in the next 72 hours, and the possibility of air navigation equipment being interrupted intermittently, caution must be exercised when planning air operations in the eastern Mediterranean," Eurocontrol said in a statement.

Flight radar 24, which monitors the movement of flights, reported that the only commercial flights flying over Syria until 1:15 GMT on Wednesday belonged to Syrian Airlines and Lebanese Middle East Airlines.

Meanwhile, United States clashed with Russia on Syria at UN Security Council on Tuesday, both opposing the other's attempt to conduct international investigations into chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

United States have launched a military attack against Syrian regime with 59 Tomahawk missiles at al-Shayerat base of Syrian air, in April 2017, that was after 3 days of chemical attack killed dozens of civilians in Khan Sheikoun city.
