Small room considered as hospital for al-Hilalia neighborhood people

QAMISHLO-To provide health services to citizens and first aid, Democratic Society Movement, in coordination with health authority of Democratic Autonomous Administration in al-Jazeera canton, opened a hospital for some poor families due to the poor living conditions of some families in al-Hilalia neighborhood in Qamishlo.

The clinic opened on 17 August 2017, a small one-room center with first-aid and child-preview sections, in the corner of the room there is a pharmacy with many medicines for paramedics and seasonal diseases.

The clinic receives emergency cases for the residents of the neighborhood and the near neighborhoods treatment and medicine are provided free of charge, two nurses are currently in the clinic, supervised by a general doctor.

The clinic opens its doors in the morning from 8 am to 1 pm, and in emergency cases, the clinic opens the center to provide treatment.

The health department of al-Jazeera canton provides support and medicines for each period, as soon as the medicines in the clinic are finished and free of charge.

In an interview with ANHA news agency with Halima Salim Othman, a nurse at the clinic, she said: "The health authority opened the clinic to provide more medical services to the people of the area, especially in the field of first aid and emergency cases."

Halima said: "The people of al-Hilalia neighborhood were suffering from its distant of the city center, hospitals and medical centers, and with the opening of this clinic we were able to solve the problems that the residents of the neighborhood were suffering from."

Halima Othman thanked the health authority and the Democratic Society Movement and all those who contributed and helped to establish the clinic.
