Two schools opened in al-Jazra neighborhood
Residents of al-Jazra neighborhood in al-Raqqa city opened two elementary schools, which lack most of the basic education requirements.

AL-RAQQA -Thousands of children from al-Raqqa are still deprived of education, despite the opening of a number of schools since the liberation of the city from IS mercenaries.
However, schools do not accommodate all the students, schools are not opened in many neighborhoods due to school buildings being damaged, and also because of mines left behind by IS mercenaries. In order to not prevent children from studying, the residents of al-Jazra neighborhood, with the support of Education Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council, opened two schools, the two schools are two popular houses equipped with classrooms and some simple necessities to accommodate the children of the neighborhood. One of the schools was named al-Zahra and the other was named Ammar al-Hussein, the former head of Education Committee, who was martyred by a mine while doing his duty.
