Yazidi Women Union offers condolences to family of martyr Haifa al-Arabo

The Yazidi Women Union in Rojava issued a written statement condemning the Turkish occupation and its attack that targeted Haifa al-Arabo, a member of the Coordination of Kongra Star, in Southe Kurdistan. The union expressed its condolences to the martyr's family and to all struggling and revolutionary women.

Through the statement, the Yazidi Women Union reaffirmed its commitment to "the path of free feminist struggle."

It added: "Day by day, the Turkish occupying state reveals its brutality, fear, and hatred towards free peoples, particularly pioneering and struggling women." The statement pointed out that Turkey seeks by all means to undermine the will and determination of struggling women in an attempt to weaken societies and dismantle their foundations, which are built on justice, equality, and democracy.

It further explained: "In Shingal, ISIS mercenaries specifically targeted Yazidi women, trafficking them with clear support from the Turkish state, the heir of the Ottomans, who have a long history of brutality and crime."
