Yazidi notable: Emergence of Leader Abdullah Ocalan revived the Kurdish Issue

The Turkish occupation state is tightening its isolation from Leader Abdullah Ocalan by extending what are called “disciplinary sanctions” against him, which arouses the ire of those who believe in his thought and philosophy, and they struggle on a daily basis to achieve his physical freedom.

The notable confirms to the Yazidi community in al-Jazira canton in North and East Syria that Leader Abdullah Ocalan carries a liberal thought not only for the Kurds but for all components and peoples who live in the geography of the Middle East.

The Yazidi notable Fares Shamo, who became acquainted with the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in the 1980s, said in an interview with ANHA's agency: “The leader’s thought is different from other party ideas, and his revolution is for the cause of oppressed peoples, so we followed his free thought to protect our rights.”

“The emergence of a leader is like a plant growing out of rocks.”

Fares Shamo explained: “The emergence of Leader Abdullah Ocalan at a time when the Kurdish people and the enslaved peoples were living in a state of injustice and tyranny is like a plant growing from among the rocks, branching out to form a spring for the peoples.”

Fares Shamo confirmed that the Yazidi community suffered greatly during its long history and was subjected to 74 massacres (firmans) and extermination campaigns, the last of which occurred during the ISIS/Daesh mercenaries’ attack on Şengal in 2014.

Shamo pointed out: “We all know what happened in 2014 during the decree. Had it not been for the intervention of those who believed in the ideology of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and fought alongside the Yazidis, those who took shelter on the mountain would have died of thirst, and they would not have been able to pass to Rojava after the humanitarian corridor was opened for them by the People’s and Women’s Protection Units YPG-YPJ People's Defense Forces (Guerrilla).

Şengal organized itself thanks to the guidance of Leader Abdullah Ocalan

Fares Shamo confirmed: “Today, the Yazidi community in Şengal has organized itself and formed its security and military forces and autonomous administration that manages its affairs, all thanks to the directives and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has called more than once for the protection of the Yazidi community and stressed this matter.”

Regarding the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Prison, Fares Shamo said: “This isolation targeted the liberal thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and despite the difficulties, he has turned the prison into a beacon for people who want to get rid of injustice and can be guided by his philosophy toward freedom.”

He does not deserve to stay away from people.

Shamo stressed that Turkey and the international powers in the Middle East are very aware that the leader has provided solutions to most Middle East issues, and that dialogue with the leader can be a way to end many conflicts, but they want the region to remain in a permanent state of instability in line with their interests.

Fares Shamo stressed their connection to the thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and said: “We have been linked to the thought of the leader for years, and we will continue to see in him a path towards a solution to our issues, and we will always demand that he achieve physical freedom because a person like him does not deserve to remain far from the people.
