Women's delegation from Rojava visits S. Kurdistan

A women's delegation, including Rohat Khalil, Head of the Women's Authority in the Jazira Canton, and Hadiya Mohammed Abdullah, Co-Chair of the Kurdish Red Crescent, arrived in Southern Kurdistan on Sunday for a several-day visit during which they will meet with institutions concerned with women's and children's affairs.

On Monday, the delegation visited the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as the High Council for Women and Development.

The delegation was received by Kwestan Mohammed Abdullah, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, her deputy Zakia Sayid, and Khanzad Ahmed, Secretary-General of the High Council for Women and Development. The visits were conducted within the framework of strengthening communication and coordination between institutions concerned with women's and community affairs.

During the meetings, the participants discussed the current situation in the regions of Rojava, exchanged views on presenting each side's efforts, and explored ways to enhance support, strengthen relations, and expand joint coordination. The institutions visited also expressed their support and their readiness to assist these efforts.

According to information obtained from the delegation, the visit will continue until Thursday, July 2. Throughout the week-long visit, the delegation will continue holding meetings and visiting institutions and organizations concerned with women's and children's affairs.
