Women's delegation from NE Syria arrives Europe

A women's delegation from North and East Syria has reached Europe for a tour during which they will meet with women's and human rights organizations and European parliamentarians to discuss Syrian affairs, women, and other issues of common concern.

A women's delegation from North and East Syria is in a visit to several European countries on an official month-long tour. During the tour, they will meet with women's and human rights organizations and European parliamentarians, as well as participate in dialogue seminars and cultural activities.

The delegation includes representatives from several women's organizations, including Amina Omar; theadministrator of the Women's Council in North and East Syria, Mona al-Youssef; the spokesperson for the Syrian Women's Council, Shahrazad al-Jassem; the spokesperson for Zenobia Women's Association, Jian Hussein; the member of the Star Conference Coordination, and Georgette Barsoumou; thespokesperson for the Syriac Women's Union.

The delegation is scheduled to participate in various events and activities in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Belgium, including conferences, dialogue seminars, and cultural festivals, in addition to holding meetings with women's and human rights organizations operating in Europe.

The delegation will also meet with members of parliament in Belgium and Switzerland, as part of reinforcing cooperation and exchanging expertise on several issues of common interest.

According to the delegation members, the meetings and activities will shed light on the Syrian issue at the forefront the existing model in North and East Syria, Syrian women's issues and their experience during the crisis, the most appropriate form of governance in Syria, in addition to the issue of Syrian refugees and forcibly displaced persons.
