Woman killed, another injured with car blast in Qamishlo city

A woman lost her life and a citizen was injured as a result of a car explosion in the city of Qamishlo this afternoon, and the Internal Security Forces were able to dismantle an unexploded mine inside it.

This afternoon, a car exploded near Al-Quwatli Roundabout on the Corniche Road in the city of Qamishlo.

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria, in a statement, announced that the explosion resulted in “a woman losing her life and a citizen being injured. He was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment.”

The center indicated, “After imposing a security cordon around the place and removing civilians to protect their lives, and during the inspection of the car after putting out the fire, it was discovered that there was an unexploded mine, and it confirmed that the specialized engineering teams were able to dismantle it.”

While he added, "Our forces have begun an extensive investigation into the explosion to find the people behind the bombing, arrest them, and present them to the judicial authorities."
