The White House today disclosed part of the conversation that took place between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ahmad Sharaa during their meeting in Riyadh.

The White House spokesperson stated that Trump invited Sharaa to join the Abraham Accords with Israel and also called for the expulsion of Palestinian factions that Washington classifies as "terrorist" from Syria, in addition to "helping the U.S. prevent the return of ISIS."

In return, Sharaa told Trump that he is inviting American companies to invest in Syria’s oil and gas sector, according to the White House.

Trump announced yesterday, Tuesday, that the United States will move to lift the economic sanctions imposed on Syria.

It is worth noting that the Trump–Sharaa meeting was held behind closed doors, with no journalists allowed to attend.
