US reaffirms commitment to supporting SDF in Jordan meeting

The United States has reiterated its commitment to supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) during a meeting held in the Jordanian capital, which included a high-level US delegation, SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi, and Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed.

The meeting in Amman brought together Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi, US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack, US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, and US Congressman Joe Wilson, according to the social media accounts of the representatives of North and East Syria involved in negotiations with the Damascus government.

The meeting discussed advancing the implementation of the March 10 agreement signed between SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi and Damascus government's President  Ahmad Al-Shar’a.

During the meeting, Senator Jeanne Shaheen emphasized her country’s commitment to supporting the SDF and their efforts in combating terrorism.
