Two Syrian sailors and 14 Egyptian sailors survived after the cargo ship "Golden Rose" was struck by a Russian drone in the Black Sea, according to Ukrainian media reports.

The Ukrainian media explained that the drone hit the stern of the ship, causing a large fire, before Ukrainian border guard vessels intervened to evacuate the crew.

They confirmed that all the sailors were taken ashore and underwent medical examinations, with no injuries reported among them.

The incident comes days after a number of Syrian sailors were killed and wounded in Russian attacks targeting commercial vessels off the Ukrainian coast.
