In a notable escalation of regional tensions, an Iranian missile targeted a building belonging to a telecommunications company in Sharjah, resulting in the injury of two people, just days after a drone attack struck the same site.

Two people were injured in an Iranian missile attack targeting a building of Thuraya Telecommunications Company in Sharjah, according to what UAE authorities announced today, one week after an Iranian drone attack targeted the same building without causing injuries at the time.

The Sharjah Government Media Office stated that the competent authorities are dealing with an incident “resulting from the targeting of an administrative building belonging to Thuraya Telecommunications Company in the central region by a ballistic missile coming from Iran.”

The office added that the incident resulted in “two individuals of Pakistani nationality sustaining moderate injuries, and they were transferred to the hospital to receive medical care.”
