Turkish mercenaries release 1 of 2 brothers kidnapped from Derik

The family of the two brothers, Avan and Abdel Mutallib Miro, reported that the Turkish occupation mercenaries released the young man, Avan Miro, days after he was kidnapped along with his brother while they were traveling from the city of Derik to the capital, Damascus, to register at the university.

Contact was lost with brothers Avan Miro (23 years old) and Abdel Mutallib Miro (20 years old) on October 16th, while they were traveling from the city of Derik in Jazira canton to the capital, Damascus, to complete their university registration procedures.

According to the family, the brothers were traveling on a Pullman bus, and upon reaching an area about 70 km away from the city of Raqqa, they were stopped at a checkpoint known as "Maadan," which the family claims is controlled by the Turkish-backed "al-Amshat" mercenaries.

The brothers were taken off the bus and taken to an unknown location, causing great anxiety for the family, who immediately began searching for them and inquiring about their fate.

In a new development, the family reported receiving a call today from Avan Miro, who confirmed that he had been released. He indicated that his brother, Abdel Mutallib, would be released within the next two days, according to the procedures followed by the group that abducted them.
