Trump: We are close to freeing Middle East from Iranian Threat

U.S. President Donald Trump said that Washington is closer than ever to ending the Iranian threat and dismantling its military capabilities, while criticizing NATO and calling for more countries to join the Abraham Accords.

Trump stated on Friday that the United States is “closer than ever to freeing the Middle East from the Iranian threat,” stressing that his country is working to destroy Iran’s missile stockpile and its defense industrial base.

Speaking at an investment forum in Miami, Trump said the U.S. military is the strongest in the world, adding that Iran is no longer able to act as a “bully” in the region as it once did.

In a related context, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with some NATO member states for not providing sufficient financial support, suggesting that Washington is “not obligated” to stand by the alliance.

He also praised the role of Gulf countries in confronting Iranian threats, expressing hope that Saudi Arabia and other states would join the Abraham Accords, noting that the Middle East is undergoing major shifts toward a more stable future.
