Impact of " Call for Peace and a Democratic Society" - Khayri Baran

The call for peace and a democratic society by Leader Abdullah Ocalan not only impacted Kurdistan and Turkey, but the entire Middle East. He is the best scholar and philosopher who has interpreted and analyzed the history and reality of the Middle East, and offered solutions.
It appears that the system of capitalist modernity's policies in this region, ongoing for centuries, will never be the same after this historic call.
The hegemonic powers of the world and the capitalist system inflicted a terrible catastrophe on the people of the region by designing the borders of nation-states a century ago that is, by surrounding them with circles of fire.
By establishing evil-willed and corrupt governments, they pursued policies of massacre, famine, exile, and other forms of oppression against the people.
This has bound the people and compelled them to look for solutions and saviors to become liberated from this wretched state of affairs.
The ongoing struggle of the Kurdish people for freedom and national liberation, led by Leader Abdullah Öcalan, for fifty years, has brought about a lot of tremendous transformations in the region.
This fight opened the eyes of the region's peoples and prompted them to study and inquire about the slavery system applied in the region.
The peoples of the region see their salvation only in such universal values as peace, freedom, and democracy, and its realization is possible only through a fierce fight. This struggle was conducted in Kurdistan and paved the way for an intellectual revolution in the Middle East.
With this peace and democratic society call, nothing in Kurdistan and the region will ever remain the same. Two months after the Leader issued this historical call, its implications on the region, especially in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, and Turkey, have become clear.
All people, organizations, and states nowadays speak about this call and want to review and re-review their situation in light of this new era.
Turkey, Syria, Iran, and Iraq will not be relieved of their economic, social, and political crises unless they resolve the Kurdish question. The indispensable and fundamental requirements for the democratization and advancement of these countries are the recognition of the actual nature of the Kurdish people. Therefore, these states are no longer able to tolerate this heavy burden. The modern capitalist system, which to a large extent was responsible and played a fundamental role in the formation of the Kurdish issue, can no longer afford this burden. Therefore, the resolution of the Kurdish issue has become a necessity for all.
The democratization of these states is the solution to the Kurdish issue, and Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for "peace and a democratic society" is the pointer to how it is to be achieved. In order to be able to go beyond the racism and fascism contained within the nation-state mentality, we need to understand the content of this call, which has historic importance.
Through this historic call, the Middle East will return to its cradle and origin, and peace, freedom, and democracy, which for centuries have been absent, will be achieved.
