Tirbê Spiyê residents demand leader Ocalan's physical freedom

Under the slogan "With the physical freedom of leader Apo, we guarantee Kurdish democratic unity," the Tirbê Spiyê City Council organized a public march on Wednesday.

Dozens of residents and members of institutions participated in the march, which began in front of the city's school administration building and proceeded towards the City Council headquarters.

During the march, the participants held up pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan and flags of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM).

Upon reaching the council building, the demonstrators held a minute of silence. Then, Ghaliya Ahmed; the member of the People's Initiative in Tirbê Spiyê, delivered a speech in which she affirmed that the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is the freedom of all peoples.

Ghaliya Ahmed stressed the necessity of releasing the leader immediately, noting that the key to resolving the issues of the Middle East lies with him. She added, "The peace process and the democratic society initiated by the leader must continue, and the Turkish state must also take steps towards peace."

In closing, Ghaliya Ahmed emphasized the need to strengthen unity across the four parts of Kurdistan, saying, "The time has come for us to join ranks and intensify our struggle against the enemies of the Kurds."

The march ended with slogans demanding the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.
