Social Affairs Minister meets with DAA institutions, organizations

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the Interim Government, Hind Qabawat, visited Hasaka Governorate on Wednesday, accompanied by an official delegation, to assess the humanitarian and service situation there and discuss ways to activate existing institutions and integrate them into the structure of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, which contributes to improving the level of services and meeting the needs of citizens.

The accompanying delegation included the Director of Political Affairs in the governorate, Abbas Hussein, and Member of Parliament, Rengin Abdo.

During a press conference, the minister emphasized that the primary objective of the visit was to achieve stability and a dignified life for all Syrians. She stressed the importance of collaborative teamwork and indicated that a specialized committee has begun its work on the integration process according to a specific timeline.

Hind Qabawat also held a closed meeting with staff from the Social Affairs and Labor Body of the Autonomous Administration, in the presence of the Autonomous Administration's advisor in Jazira, Jian Hassen, along with the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, Vivian Beho Osi, and representatives from the Social Affairs and Labor Body. This meeting preceded her visit to the Hilal Zerin Center for Culture and Art, where she met with representatives of organizations and associations within the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Jazira, discussing their demands and the most significant challenges they face, and presenting proposals for improving coordination and cooperation mechanisms with official bodies.

The minister is scheduled to hold subsequent meetings with several entities, including the co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed, and the Kongra Star Congress, to discuss the situation of women and their rights in Syria.
