The entrances to the city of Talbiseh in the northern Homs countryside and within its residential neighborhoods have witnessed an intensive security deployment since this morning, according to what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

The SOHR pointed out that this comes within the framework of a preemptive step for the arrival of the "Head of the General Intelligence Division in Damascus", Major General Hussam Louka, to the city, accompanied by the Head of the Security and Military Committee in Homs, Major General Ahmed Maala, and the Commander of the Third Corps, Major General Ali Mahmoud, in addition to the heads of the security branches in Homs city.

This meeting comes in conjunction with the arrival of military and security reinforcements to the vicinity of the city of Talbiseh, in light of threats to launch a military attack targeting the city’s wanted persons, estimated at around 120, who refused to settle their status within the “Settlement” Centre, which was opened within the Talbiseh Municipality Centre at the beginning of this month.
