Thousands march on NE Syria squares to support women

Under the slogan “Against all forms of violence and occupation, women, life, freedom,” hundreds of women and people in NE Syria went out today in marches in support of women’s freedom and against all forms of violence against them, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which falls on today (25 November).

In Manbij, hundreds of components of the city went out in a march that started from Al-Mizan Roundabout.

In Raqqa, the march started in front of the Children’s Hospital in Raqqa at 10:30. The people of the Euphrates region also go out in a march starting from Martyr Agid Square in the city of Kobani at 11:00.

In Hasaka canton, the march begins with the participation of hundreds of residents from the martyr Arin Mirkan roundabout in Al-Mushairfa neighborhood in the city at 10:30, and in Qamishlo canton in front of the Osman Sabri roundabout in the city of Qamishlo at 11:00.

In Aleppo, the people of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood go out in a march that starts in front of the March 8 meeting hall in the neighborhood at 1:00, while the people of Afrin and Al-Shahba canton go out in a march organized in the Al-Ahdath district of Al-Shahba and starts at 12:00.
