Tension, alert between "General Security" Family in Azaz city

The city of Azaz, under the control of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, is witnessing a security alert between a family and members of the "General Security" following the arrest of a young man from the family, amid threats of escalation.

The "Al-Hmoush" family in Azaz, located in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, threatened to attack the headquarters of the "General Security" after a young man from their family was arrested earlier on Tuesday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The SOHR reported that armed members of the family opened heavy fire in the city amid a large military alert on both sides. Members of the "Al-Hmoush" family prepared medium weapons and RPG warheads in readiness to attack the "General Security" headquarters in Azaz, threatening to expel them from the city if one of the detained family members is not released.

The Observatory also mentioned that the "General Security" forces brought military reinforcements from Aleppo towards Azaz to support their headquarters there, amid popular and security tensions that threaten to cause a situation explosion in the city.
