Tel Kocher residents condemn continued Isolation against leader Ocalan

Residents of Tel Kocher, located in the Jazira Canton, denounced the continued isolation of leader Abdullah Ocalan in his prison on Imrali Island, describing it as an unacceptable measure, particularly at a time when Kurdish–Turkish relations are witnessing attempts to achieve peace.

Tariq Ahmed stated that “the ongoing isolation of the leader is unacceptable, especially amid current peace efforts,” adding that “this isolation represents a broader isolation of all peoples yearning for freedom and inspired by his thought and philosophy.”

Ahmed called on international and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their responsibility to lift the isolation and to “grant the leader the right to freedom and hope,” emphasizing that “the struggle will continue until his physical freedom is achieved.”

For her part, Faten Hussein condemned the continued isolation of leader Abdullah Ocalan, describing him as “a leader of peace and democracy who strives for the unity of peoples.” She noted that “the aim of maintaining this isolation is to confine his ideas and philosophy within prison walls, because they know his potential to achieve justice and democracy for all peoples.”

She stressed that “his thought has become a way of life and a set of principles for the peoples — and it cannot be confined.”

Meanwhile, Amir Sayyed Ali demanded “an end to the isolation of  leader Abdullah Ocalan and the realization of justice for him,” asserting that “he is a symbol who unites peoples and promotes equality without discrimination.” He added that “attempts to target him aim to undermine the unity and cohesion of peoples,” and affirmed that “the peoples of the region are aware of such plots and will not fall into their trap.”

He concluded by reaffirming their commitment to leader Abdullah Ocalan’s philosophy and their determination to continue the struggle until his physical freedom is achieved.
