Tayy Arab Tribe: national dialogue in Damascus does not represent Syrians' aspirations

Under the slogan "Syria brings us together between reality and ambition" and with the aim of discussing the future of Syria and the region, the Tayy Tribe Council held the Syrian Jazira Forum for National Dialogue, attended by many dignitaries, sheikhs of Arab and Kurdish tribes, intellectuals and social figures, in the Afrin Hall in the city of Qamishlo.

The forum began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the member of the General Secretariat of the Arab National Authority, Hikmat al-Habib, spoke, pointing out that "the history of al-Jaziar is known for the national solidarity between the components of the region, including Kurds, Arabs, and Syriacs. This solidarity has clearly appeared through the establishment of the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces, which have achieved great victories over terrorism and preserved the unity of Syrian territory."

He stressed that "the parties intervening in Syria, primarily the Turkish occupation state, are preventing the Syrians from building their democratic state."

In turn, the head of the Tayy Arab Tribe Council, Sheikh Hassan Farhan al-Abd al-Rahman, said, "We meet today to send a message to the whole world that the components of al-Jazira are one hand and have the full right to build a new Syria, and what is called the national dialogue in Damascus does not represent the aspirations of the Syrian people, and the model of self-administration is the best solution to resolve the political issue of the Syrian people."

The attendees stressed during their interventions that the "National Dialogue" conference does not represent the components of the region or the aspirations of the Syrian people who sacrificed to end a criminal fascist regime that deprived the people of their rights, calling for a new Syria for all Syrians.

The forum concluded with a demand for several proposals such as resuming a national dialogue in which real representatives of the Syrian people participate, opening the door to dialogue with the interim government in Damascus, working to build a new Syrian constitution, supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces to build a new Syrian army, ending the Turkish occupation of Syrian territory, not marginalizing any component living on Syrian territory, guaranteeing the rights of all components with their different religions and cultures, and building a unified, decentralized state with national sovereignty. The participants also suggested opening official government service departments in the region of North and East Syria.
