Hundreds of residents participated in a protest held in Al-Karama Square in Sweida, calling for the release of all kidnapped men and women and for an independent international investigation into the events of July.

Participants carried slogans opposing Syria’s transitional government, such as “Sweida is free, free” and “Al-Jolani out,” while also demanding the right to self-determination and UN oversight to ensure justice and uncover the truth about the crimes committed in Sweida.

This protest is part of an ongoing popular movement in Sweida reflecting societal demands for civil and political rights, following previous demonstrations that called for self-determination, the release of kidnapped individuals, and exerting both social and official pressure to end the incidents of abductions in the region.
