Suleiman Ahmed's mother calls on AANES to intervene in the case of her son

The Kurdistan Democratic Party authorities continue to conceal the fate of journalist Suleiman Ahmed, who was kidnapped 73 days ago, which has raised concerns for his family as lawyers are prevented from meeting with him.

The mother of journalist Suleiman Ahmed, Sultana Ahmed, in a statement to ANHA agency, appealed to the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to intervene in his file, as he is a citizen of North and East Syria.

Mother Sultana noted that the kidnappers, members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, have been preventing her from communicating with her son for more than 73 days.

Sultana Ahmed confirmed that her son had been carrying out his journalistic duties and work for more than 5 years in the city of Sulaymaniyah in Southern Kurdistan, and that his arrest at the hands of the Kurdistan Democratic Party was unjustified, and demanded his immediate release in order to achieve justice.

At the end of her speech, while holding a picture of her son, Sultana sent a message to her son’s kidnappers by addressing their conscience and allowing lawyers to meet with him to achieve his legitimate freedom away from narrow partisan interests.

The security forces (Asayish) of Dohuk, affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, had earlier prevented lawyers from meeting with the editor of the “ROJ NEWS” agency, Suleiman Ahmed, while the lawyer confirmed that Suleiman’s file had been transferred to the Parastan apparatus of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
