Seyfi Zoğurlu: We must prepare ourselves, plan, and strategize according to the new phase
Seyfi Zoğurlu, a member of the 12th Congress of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), emphasized that "a new phase has begun, and the war that will begin now is much more difficult. In the political, ideological, diplomatic, and construction fields, this phase is even more difficult. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves, plan, and strategize accordingly."
Today, Firat News Agency published a speech by Seyfi Zoğurlu, a member of the 12th PKK Congress, held on May 5-7 in the Medya Defense Zones. He offered the following assessments:
"First, I send my greetings to Leader Apo. I also remember our great comrades Fuat, Riza, and Sara, as well as all the martyrs of the struggle. The Leader brought us back from nonexistence to this level. From within these four walls, he developed all the campaigns that thwarted the conspiracies of the enemy and international powers. He always made the current foundations the basis for developing the struggle and brought us closer to victory.
Some people and those around them can interpret or evaluate the matter according to their own perspective. When one sees the Turkish press, which shows that the PKK has been defeated and can no longer fight, they want to abort the process. There is a reality. What is this reality? Thanks to the efforts of Leader Apo and the struggle of the PKK, the Kurdish people have gained a will. The guarantee of the freedom movement, the guarantee of the freedom of the Kurdish people, and the guarantee of anyone who carries the weapon in our hands are these forces that were organized according to Leader Apo's model. The issue of laying down our weapons was our position within this framework. Therefore, the issue of law and the constitution must be included. We must impose steps of this kind. The leader is offering us alternatives. A new phase has begun for us, in the political, ideological, and diplomatic field, this stage is much more difficult, so we must prepare ourselves and plan and strategize accordingly, it is true that this conference is a dissolution conference, but when we dissolve ourselves, we will not leave it like this, meaning we must not get lost. Because we grew up with the thought of leader Apo and we were Apojis before we were PKK members, and now we are Apojis, in this context I have faith until the end, that the strength, knowledge and creativity of leader Apo has saved the PKK from many difficulties, and this time too, the PKK will be crowned with greater victories."
