Security forces reveal circumstances of shooting incident in Raqqa

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in the North and East of Syria region issued a statement regarding the Raqqa celebration and the targeting operation that took place in it, which stated:

 "Hundreds of employees of the Autonomous Administration and the people of Raqqa gathered to celebrate raising the independence flag in the center of Raqqa city based on the decision of the Democratic Peoples' Council, where the Internal Security Forces performed their duties in protecting the celebration, but, some people quickly exploited the celebration and provoked our forces and fired bullets randomly at the celebrants, which led to injuries among them and some members of the Internal Security Forces, as video footage from the celebration shows this incident."

"We in the Internal Security Forces condemn the attempt of some parties to incite sedition, we call on the people to be careful and not to be drawn into the voices calling for undermining security and stability in the city of Raqqa, and we emphasize the continuation of performing our duties in protecting the security of the people and the region."
