Security Forces impose measures in Hasakah during Eid al-Adha

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Hasakah Governorate issued a statement today regarding the security measures to be implemented during Eid al-Adha, stating:

“On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces extends its warmest congratulations and blessings to all our people, wishing everyone a holiday filled with security, stability, and peace.

In order to preserve public security and safety during the holiday, citizens and relevant authorities are requested to fully comply with the following measures and instructions:

First: The entry of trucks and tankers into cities, towns, and areas is strictly prohibited from 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Second: Oil tankers must adhere to their previously designated routes, and their movement will be completely prohibited from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Third: The movement of all types of motorcycles, including military motorcycles, is strictly prohibited from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Fourth: Officially authorized transport of medical and humanitarian aid supplies is exempt from these restrictions and will be allowed to move between cities, towns, and areas as usual.

Fifth: The firing of live ammunition and the use of fireworks outside the framework of applicable laws and regulations are strictly prohibited. This decision applies equally to civilians and members of military and security forces, under penalty of strict legal accountability.

We also call on all citizens to fully cooperate with the security forces in implementing these measures to ensure a safe and stable Eid holiday for all.”
