Security and Defense Committee in Iraq: Turkey's operations in Dohuk are a clear occupation
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in Iraq has confirmed that the continued Turkish military movements in Dohuk in Southern Kurdistan are a clear occupation of the north of the country.

A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee in Iraq, Ali al-Bandawi, said in a televised interview: There is no commitment by Turkey to stop its military operations in the region, despite official Iraqi condemnations and denunciations.
He added: There are not sufficient Iraqi forces in Kurdistan because of the prevention of their presence in large numbers by the regional government, pointing out that the regional government does not allow the presence of federal Iraqi forces in the provinces of Kurdistan.
He pointed out that the lack of a final agreement between Baghdad and Ankara means the continuation of Turkish operations in northern Iraq.
He stressed that the cutting off of water from Iraq by Turkey and the continuation of its military operations in the Kurdistan region is a clear occupation, noting that Turkish military operations in northern Iraq have continued since 1987.
